Inclusion streetcar "On the road together"

Co-authoring the text for the Zurich Disability Conference

The inclusive streetcar "Gemeinsam unterwegs" shows how people with disabilities use public transport. It is specially designed and in daily use as a course vehicle. Passengers receive information on active communication and consideration for people with disabilities. The inclusion streetcar is a joint campaign by Zurich's public transport company and various organizations.

Hanging boxes were designed for the Inclusion Tram to express the work of the Zurich Disability Conference.

The Zurich Disability Conference asked Saphir Ben Dakon if she could write the necessary texts together with the team.

Together for equality and consideration across the board was the campaign's brief. Three versions were created, which are shown in the file attached below.

The image shows three poster motifs arranged next to each other on a black background. Each poster is graphically designed in the style of information on public transport and bears the orange bar at the top with the inscription: "Together for Equality".

All three posters use colored text fields in blue, purple, orange and yellow as well as different colored arrow symbols (red, green, orange). The central messages on the posters vary:

Left poster:

Blue: "Mobility for all."

Purple: "Towards inclusion: people with disabilities travel to work and leisure."

Orange: "Equal to you."

Blue: "Consideration all along the line."

Middle poster:

Blue: "Nothing about us, without us."

Purple: "Towards inclusion: people with disabilities help shape society."

Orange: "Equal to you."

Blue: "Consideration all along the line."

Poster on the right:

Blue: "Human rights for all."

Purple: "Towards inclusion: the rights of people with disabilities are respected."

Orange: "Equal to you."

Blue: "Consideration across the board."

All three posters contain a yellow field with a QR code in the bottom right-hand corner, as well as logos for BKZ, VBZ and "Züri lebt Inklusion".
The design is reminiscent of bus and streetcar signage: directional arrows in the shape of a circle, pictograms and clear color contrasts.
