Topic of the evening:
Inclusion means more than joint teaching: it stands for the right of all children to participate equally in everyday school life, regardless of their abilities, background or support needs. Diversity is not seen as an exception, but as normality - and as an opportunity.
However, there are challenges between aspiration and reality: scarce resources, high expectations and structures that are not yet made for everyone. In this live podcast episode, we ask what inclusion really needs in everyday school life, where it succeeds, where it reaches its limits - and how schools can be designed in such a way that children do not have to be adapted in order to fit in.
Guests:
Franziska Roth: Member of the Council of States of the Canton of Solothurn, special education teacher, President of the Denk an mich Foundation
Saphir Ben Dakon: Expert in communication and inclusion, Vice President of Agile
Manuel C. Widmer: Primary school teacher, Member of the Bernese Parliament, President of the Bern Regional Education Conference
